Introduction

Here is details of some of the boats built by members.
They are delighted to help other modellers with any difficulties they may have.

Aquateur Performance Skiff

This was originally based on the Musto Skiff. It is now a model racing dinghy complete with crew, wings and no ballast. It requires knowledge of dinghy sailing to sail, but is very rewarding once you have mastered it.
David Marrs would be delighted to advise anybody on building the kit or coaching on how to sail her.

Aquateur Laser Dinghy

This is a model racing dinghy complete with crew, and no ballast. This is a better model for normal model yachtsmen to learn how to sail. It is not to be confused with the model Laser class which is ballasted and hence comparitively easy to sail.

Calypso

This is 48th scale model of Jacque Cousteau's Research vessel. She is kit built.

HMS Repulse

This is 128th scale World War II Battle Cruiser depicted in the Pacific Fleet in 1942. She is scratch built bread and butter construction, equipped with four propellors and one rudder.

High St Clair

This is a scratch built semi scale model artic trawler based on the Hull Trawler Kingston Beryl. She is bread and butter construction.

HMS Implacable

This is 128th scale World War II Fleet Carrier depicted in the Pacific Fleet in 1945. She has 10 Supermarine Seafires and 8 Gruman Avengers on her flight deck. She is scratch built bread and butter construction, equipped with four propellors and one rudder.
